Alexandra Katz- Co-founder

Alex is currently a JD candidate at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She was a paralegal at The Federal Defenders of New York, where she worked daily with trial attorneys and clients on every step of their criminal cases, from arrest to acquittal or sentencing. Her dedication to helping others was cemented when she worked in the pro bono section of Mintz Levin PC in Boston and New York. During her internship at the A.C.L.U.’s Immigrants’ Rights Project in New York, Alex researched immigration policy and responded to requests from individuals in immigration detention centers seeking legal assistance. Alex graduated from Barnard College, where she was an Athena Leadership Scholar. 

 

Justine Kentla Cho- Co-founder

Justine spent several years as a paralegal at the Federal Defenders of New York, where she worked one on one with incarcerated clients. Her commitment to public interest work began during her internship with the Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C. She then worked for The University of Chicago Law School Exoneration Project based at Loevy & Loevy, a Chicago civil rights law firm. Justine is an Honors graduate at the University of Chicago and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
